innovot
Hello: we are looking for a billing module that would allow us to change the quantity of a service eg. number of email accounts being used plus post paid billing for telephone calls. Did come across http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?87758-Flexible-WHMCS-Billing-Addon-awit-whmcs-ippm but that does not appear to have been updated for over a year. Happy for suggestions including commercial offerings. Thank you.
innovot
Hello @ModulesGarden Does your Zimbra module allow the number of email accounts to be changed at any time within a month and adjust the pricing as necessary; including pro-rata adjustment ? Thanks.
innovot
Yes, you are able to change limits of accounts as well as adjust the pricing at any time. The other possibility is to provision accounts without limits and bill your clients per usage by means of Advanced Billing For WHMCS. Excellent, so if at the start of a month the client has a limit of 10 accounts set, and then mid month they increase to 12, will it create a separate invoice for the pro-rata amount or would that then be included in the following months invoice ? Thank you.
innovot
At the time when a client upgrades 10 accounts package to 12 accounts package, WHMCS calculates the difference between prices of each package. Then, the difference is divided by the total number of days in a billing cycle and the result is multiplied by the number of days left in the current billing cycle. The final result is what a client will have to pay in order to upgrade a package. From the beginning of the next billing cycle, a client will have to pay the full price of 12 accounts package. Excellent, and presume conversly, if they downgrade a credit for the difference would be generated ?
