[not a bug] Attachments with Greek filenames aren't allowed.?

Trying to send to support a file lets say in greek: ΚΩΔΙΚΟΙ.doc it says

Attachment ΚΩΔΙΚΟΙ.doc blocked - file type not allowed.

 

It shouldn't just check only the extension ? (.doc) If it's in English no problem. It's not the extension, I got .doc allowed.

It doesn't allow greek chars. Testing the same with english letters (KWDIKOI.doc) it works.

We have tight rules for acceptable file uploads. They are: "Valid filenames contain only alpha-numeric, dot, hyphen and underscore characters." Safe storage and retrieval of unicode files varies by OS and these rules ensure the product will work in all environments.

 

This is choice we made, not a product bug. If you want to request support for unicode characters in the product you can make a feature request in our requests system:
