Password Reset Not Working

Hi,

 

In the latest WHMCS version the password reset feature doesn't work.

Clicking "Reset & Send" on a client page works fine, but when clients request a new password they only receive the first email and not the one with their actual new password.

We just went through the same problem: the initial password reset email is sent, the user clicks the link to open the password reset page and then nothing.

 

In our case the issue was caused by the pwresetvalidation.tpl template file. We are using a customized template, and this file was not compatible with WHMCS version 5.2. Specifically, the form that prompts the user to enter his new password was not present in the old template file.

Just in case anyone sees this thread, I can confirm this is not a bug and this behavior indicates that either pwreset.tpl and/or pwresetvalidation.tpl is outdated in the custom template being used. Updating them will resolve this issue.
