  1. How do you mean not being able to manage them? i have all domains with the auto renew, as soon as clients pay the renewal is sent and its done, ive had no problems? If a client doesn't pay for a renewal then it should be taken as they don't want to renew.
  2. In that case there must be something in the installation thats causing it, i have not as yet come across it myself but i am certainly going to be watching out for it.
  3. Okay well that is a strange occurance, but it should be fixable as its just a matter of tracking down exactly where the failure is occurring. I see no reason for two clients performing exactly the same process to have two different outcomes unless there is something about their accounts themselves that are different. It is possible that one client was refused subscription by the card company and thus GC cant create a subscription but this should be noted in the gateway logs as it would be reported back to your installation. In this case another payment provider might be better for those clients one that only deals with single payments.
  4. Can i just ask your reasoning behind doing this? bear in mind if your clients are paying you to register a domain name then you have fees to pay yourself and not just the cost of the domains, this would be domain + gateway fees, so you would have to apply some sort of markup, unless you are applying the gateway fees directly to the invoice in some way.
  5. So the bottom line is, hosting companies can vacate the arena, i still feel there is something much bigger going along behind the scenes. i guess it will show in good time.
  6. I see no reason the two systems can't work together, i have not been using GC for very long but so far i have had no issue, other than with the whmcs provided module which was fixed with the GC supplied module. As has been mentioned earlier in this thread, some invoices being marked paid when they are not, and others not marked when they are, and apparently randomly at that, well i can only say that has to be another issue, maybe a firewall issue or some other problem where whmcs is installed. If something is working on some invoices yet not on others, that has to be the case. If i come across these issues myself i can investigate that but at the moment i have no issue at all so only time will tell.
  7. Definitely use the domain reminder emails for this, if the client knows they could lose the domain to sombody else they are less likely to be late but also it covers you incase they do lose the domain.
  8. I would like to know how anybody can consider hosting as a physical sale. The client does not buy, but leases webspace, they do not receive anything physical, they do not own the server space, it is an intangible service as there is no delivery. It strikes me as there is actually something else going on over at google, I'm just guessing here but maybe they are pushing into the hosting industry and that might be the reason behind their lack of support for hosting services, i guess time will reveal all or not.
  9. Well i see no real issue here, yes the official support for the module is being pulled, but we have a thriving community here to take over that support and as its already been provided in git it would be easy enough to fork it and continue its development. I see no reason to sell it when the community can develop it, infact i think it would be a good idea if more of the modules for whmcs were run in this way, open source and community supported. At least this way we would be more likely to get what we needed.
  10. Ah thank you chris and thank you for the response, il take a peek now
  11. IF my memory serves me correctly it was only in the last 12 months that some features from x started to work properly in x3 I remember having to go into x theme to set up something a while back, i forget which it was, it was either the cron job for whmcs or into email forwarders but i know it was a pain in my butt, i could be wrong on the timing it might be a little longer than that maybe 18 months. So on that bombshell, i will hold off for a very long time, besides i use a custom theme set that is based on x3 so im not sure how long it will be before the provider updates to x4 support if at all.
  12. I dont feel that enom topup policy is bad to be honest, if you are selling enough of their products then your going to be wanting a decent amount of credit in there but if you can start of by guestimating a weekly budget to topup then you can adjust as needed. As your business grows you can look to increasing the amounts and decreasing the frequency to say monthly. As to the point of the question at hand, Your costs are what whmcs charge you for the product/service. you dont have to use the pricing at enom if you are selling through their api, as in, from your own website and not through an enom shop front. If you want to have sub-resellers then you will need to sort out that pricing and enom have a formula that you can use to calculate what you want to charge your resellers, it takes some getting used to but you will soon enough figure it out.
  13. I have not been on for a few weeks and come back to find the forums have been fiddled with.. what gives?
  14. Hi, just a quick note, there was a second username in your email copy, fleecewi was there, check that account also. Another solution and most datacentres will do this for free or at the least a nominal fee, ask them to run a security/exploit scan on your servers this should pull up anything that shouldnt be there, often they will deal with these for you as part of the service. I know this might seem like a pain in the backside, but depending upon how many accounts are on these servers you might find it takes less time to check the accounts and move them to a known good server when you know they are clean. once you have those clean accounts safe you can look at the rest and figure out what is causing the issue exactly and consider eliminating those clients.
  15. The maintenance page of whmcs should be editable, it seems odd that it won't fit into the site at all. its just an error box filled with a line of text, it should fit the design of the site.
  16. If you make USD your default currency then the rate of then TL will fluctuate anyway. I would update the USD pricing and then just set it as default, You are going to lose TL pricing with each exhange rate update no matter what you do, unless you take a backup of tblpricing to later update the table. bear in mind though any alteration the product range will mean your tblpricing backup wont match. The only other option i see is simply to remove the USD currency and deal with TL only.
  17. If you are manually ordering then set the products to manual accept, When you accept the order dont send a welcome email. After the order is accepted/provisioned you will need to send an email with their details, the problem here is it has to be a new email because if you try to send a templated one then the email wont get filled. In this case, simply create a template in a text document, keep it somewhere handy, open it up and copy over the template into a new email. Fill in the blanks and send. Just make sure you send the email from the product view in your admin area so that you have access to the merge fields for the product.
  18. i would definitely go with maxmind. they recommend a level of 60 on the new risk scoring, i would set the bar a little higher for automation, say 70 maybe even 80. It really depends how strict you want the scoring to be. Sadly even with manual checks you are going to get the odd one that comes back to haunt you.
  19. it adds the old ones back because they are the system default for the server the domains hosting was assigned to, try removing server/group from the old hosting product, hopefully that should remove your default nameservers from the domain so you can reset them and they should remain in place. If not i would look at filing a bug report. My biggest concern here though would be that a domain sync might update the name servers with your default at the registrar?
  20. Having a personal but professional response to your clients feedback can only improve your relations. They know you are taking their feedback on board. It shows your a growing business with your clients needs at the core of your ethics. At least then the client knows your actually reading them, i often wonder when i submit a feedback somewhere if anything is ever done with it.
  21. I agree with bubka on this, it should be set on a per department level, that way you turn it on or of globally but it only actually triggers per department.
  22. I thought they had a beta build already and that was why there has been requests for beta testers? Seems strange there is no beta release but a lot of idle beta testers. knocking about the forum twiddling thumbs and such.
  23. you can add it back in yourself easily enough it shouldnt need an addon to do it, if its available in the other templates it should be available to be added back in the default, you should be able to open the template it resides in and just copy it into the same template in default.
  24. function domain_expiry_2($vars) {# shouldn't be needed $merge_fields array already exists. $merge_fields=array(); if($vars['relid'] && $vars['messagename'] == 'Upcoming Domain Renewal Notice') {# calling the query inside the fetch_array means the query is recalled time and again as the fetch array loops, you only want it called once. $query = mysql_query("SELECT DATEDIFF(expirydate,'".date("Y-m-d")."') FROM tbldomains WHERE id=".$vars['relid']); # change to row, no point using fetch_array/assoc here as its a single row you need. $daysuntilrenewal = mysql_fetch_row($query); if($daysuntilrenewal[0] >= 60) { # instead of ommitting curly braces you are better to just use them and save confusion later because ommiting them means only the next line is affected by the if clause. $merge_fields['abortsend'] = true;}}return $merge_fields; } add_hook("EmailPreSend",1,"domain_expiry_2");
