tsiedsma
Did you already have the old version installed? Anyone successful with upgrading? I just tested this and it works, I'll make sure that I have the latest working version uploaded. Download version 1.0.5 and tell me how it goes!
WebsiteIntegrations
I could see why some people would want an image - not everyone is a web host - say a designer would like to show an image of the site they did for them with the testimonial thats just an example

MikeP
I have just installed this. The config page shows the mod version as 104. Also, why are you forced to login when creating a testimonial? Thanks.

Thanks. Sounds like a good way of blocking bogus testimonials from snipping competitors. Rick
MikeP
Fair comment but the admin section allows you to approve/unapprove/delete testimonials.
uberhost
Fair comment but the admin section allows you to approve/unapprove/delete testimonials. Perhaps the best way to handle it would be to have the login optional then? Just thinking out loud. Rick

tsiedsma
The submit testimonial page is not written to allow anonymous submissions. It uses the logged in user's details to populate the name, email address and even product. This is by design and why it requires a login

I'll have to check this one out. Rick

cyberneticos
Hello, I forgot my password and forgot my moms maiden name (hehehe) in your client area. Basically I need the code to add to the tpl. Would be nice if it was included in the addon page itself, since we update every whmcs release. Thanks

Basically I need the code to add to the tpl. Would be nice if it was included in the addon page itself, since we update every whmcs release. Thanks If you are using the default / portal templates, you should always backup your template files so you can compare the differences from the old to new. Anyways, submit a ticket to have your password emailed to you and you'll be able to log back in and download. But to address your issue, there isn't anything in the tpl files included with the module that modifies your existing .tpl files. You have to add your own link to the testimonial_new.php file.

I think it clarifies the very question that was raised here. Of course you'd still have to get users to actually READ, lol. Best, Rick

IceBlueHost
Very nice addon! Just one thing that bothers me though... in the admin section, why are those little icons (user_delete.png, email_delete.png, world_delete.png, cart_delete.png, user_add.png, email_add.png, world_add.png, cart_add.png) linked to the external site whmcscollective.com? Is this a sneaky way to track who is using the addon? I for one do not like it when images are linked from elsewhere, and I would love to see those images added to the addon itself, so they will be linked from the actual site it is being hosted on.

Nothing sneaky about it. When I was adding the new features, I just linked to the images there and forgot to pull them down and bundle them with the add-on. Thanks for pointing it out, I forgot all about it. If I wanted to keep track of who is using it, there are much better ways to do it than linking to an offsite image
