NH - Jon
So I'm on an eNom Retail account, and it doesn't bother me too much that I have to manually register domains since APIs only work with reseller accounts. But I would like to give my customers the tools to change their contact info / billing info / admin info etc and their nameservers. Something that customers can fill in on the backend and pops up on my to-do list for me to manually change on my enom account. Is this already possible or should this be a feature request?
thehost5968
Why do you not just get a Enom account from WHMCS then you would be a reseller? But you could look at using the Email Domain Registrars in admin.
NH - Jon
Thanks for your reply! Why do you not just get a Enom account from WHMCS then you would be a reseller? At the moment, I don't think it's wise for me to be an Enom reseller. The service my business offers is web hosting, domain names are offered to customers as a courtesy service (and we only have 1-2 in a week). There is also the risk of fraud, and Enom doesn't make refunds. We do not use fraud protection atm as the prices are a bit high, but we may consider adding it later on. But you could look at using the Email Domain Registrars in admin. Cool, I'll have a look at it... where abouts is this feature?
othellotech
But I would like to give my customers the tools to change their contact info / billing info / admin info etc and their nameservers. Simplest method would be to get your enom a/c upgraded to a reseller - no real reason not to ... Failing that just add some links to the .tpl for changing nameservers etc, which take them to your support tickets

OK then look at http://reseller.netearthone.com/ There is also the risk of fraud, and Enom doesn't make refunds. thehost5968
Thank you that is good to know. But I work on this as good practise for all forums, Blog etc.. as you never now what or where old google bot pop's up.
bear
you never now what or where old google bot pop's up. True enough. Had one fall in love with a client's calendar, and it chewed through 5 GB's traffic in one month looking for dates/events going back 5 or more years. The calendar was installed last year...
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted October 12, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted October 12, 2009 As long as you set the automation dropdown to None in Setup > Domain Pricing then it won't be submitted to eNom until you manually approve the order.
