danield
Hi, We usually send mass emails every month, but sometimes users dont want to receive the emails and they basically want to unsubscribe. Is this possible?

dordal
Not to bring this up again, but was this implemented in v4.1? I'm looking through it, and I don't see how customers could manage to unsubscribe from mass emails.
dordal
Actually, I found it. You can create a 'custom field' and name it something like 'receive newsletter emails'. Then you can select that option in the Mass Mail screen.

WHMCS still doesn't provide this.
Damo
WHMCS isn't mailing list software. The client can request it by replying to the email and a support person can do that from the admin area.
SilverNodashi
thank you for clearing that up. you need to start thinking out of the box. We have the following: "just a billing program" "just a mailing list" "just a forum" "just a website" "just a VPS control panel" "just a RDNS control panel" "just an IP management tool" "just a monitoring control panel" If WHMCS is "the complete client management billing & support solution", then we do we still need to run all the hosting client management tools in separate applications? Do you actually know how much money if waisted on staff who needs to perform tasks which could otherwise be performed by systems? This exact procedure would probably take about 20minutes of one of my staff to perform. Imagine doing this (or any other common changes which could have been automated) for 10 people, per day - that adds up to 4000 minutes, or 66 hours! Imagine what your ROI could have been if that same staff member spend that same amount of time looking for new clients, or developing a new website, or anything which could bring in money. Support, and account admin doesn't bring in money, it costs money to perform. Although this isn't a mailing list software, some of us need to keep in contact with a few THOUSAND clients, for stuff like invoices, specials (and this is where this option is REALLY handy), policy / procedure updates (yes, all clients should get this), pricing updates, new products / product changes (some users may not want to receive this, and again this is where it will be very handy) And this could be a very easy procedure. Each email needs to have an unsubscribe link, at the bottom, with a unique identifier, when once clicked the database entry for this user will be changed to "newsletter = no" (or something like that.
