Chad
I'd like to switch from WildWest reseller to DirectI (Reseller Club) for sake of integration into the portal. I've been with WW for 4 years now. What are your thoughts on a smooth transition between the two registrars? My thoughts are this: - activate Reseller Club registrar module in whmcs and update public domain order page to show new pricing and order button properly linked to whmcs domain order group. Then, in red on that page leave a little note something along the lines of "If you purchased domain from us prior to July 1st 2009, you may access your domain account via this link. All domain purchases after this date can be accessed from within your customer portal account. For clients who purchased their domain prior to this date and wish to renew their domain, may do so by purchasing a domain transfer for $8.95 which will transfer your domain from our old registrar system to the new one integrated into your billing account" Does this sound just about right? Any ideas, suggestions on this? Anyone know if Reseller Club has some sort of domain transfer specials for their actual resellers to offer? WW has a transfer for $8.95yr and get 2nd year free offer. othellotech
It's very dependant on the number of domains @ GD/WW Personally I'd authorise "sucking up" the 8.95 and just mass moving them to get the automation ...
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted July 2, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted July 2, 2009 Does WWD invoice your customers? If you invoice them, just wait 'till they pay the renewal invoice and place a transfer order to ResellerClub.
