prozacpups
I received a mail yesterday that said that Resellerclub's unlimited hosting product was going live today at 05:30 UTC. It says they're giving away this product for a 'flat rate of just $2.49'! Their four existing plans have been removed. They only have a single Hosting package on offer now. Features of this Product are said to include unlimited bandwidth, disk space, databases, DLLs, and email accounts also. It says that an unlimited Email hosting package will now come inclusive in the Hosting package at this price. Their website talks about the same here. Neat, i like....but lets see how well this works out, they've just about joined the rat race... Have moved a couple of packages, lets see...

netearth
Hi RedRat, Yeah it is all off of the LB platform. I am just waiting to see what goes "pop" first the unlimited email offering (unlimited 1GB mailboxes) or the unlimited webhositng.... All it will do IMO is slow down the current slow service they have for webhostng. But I could be completly wrong - only time will tell. At the end of the day all it does is try to drive down the cost, needless to say we are forced to offer it because of the platform. Kind regards, Chris
UNIXIELHOST
Never do business with web hosts that offers unlimited because NOTHING is unlimited.
Si
Never do business with web hosts that offers unlimited because NOTHING is unlimited. An untruth if ever I read one. It depends how big you are, and yes, I know the arguements (I've been doing this for 12 years full time) and the above statement is what those who can't compete always cry. We've offered unlimited for years and never had a customer had to leave because we couldn't cope or they used too many resources. It's all about business structure and understanding of the figures. Good luck

Good luck Agreed. Overselling is a fact in every industry, from flights, to phone services, ISPs, you name it. Ridiculous overselling is what causes problems. If you have a good plan, overselling can actually be better for you than taking the stance that overselling is evil.
Si
EVIL = Morally bad or wrong; wicked: an evil tyrant. You'll not find any of my customers who agree. None have run out of anything we offer as unlimited. So what's evil about it?
