Looking for a good VPS host

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I am looking for a good VPS to setup reseller accounts, but need Cpanel and WHM installed. I have come across this web site and would like some feedback from the pro's, I have done some research on review sites, but always feel these reviews are bogus.

Anyone ehre heard of or used http://www.vpsville.ca

DO NOT USE VPSVILLE very unstable system always going down

and for cheap managed VPS Servers Please Check out

http://www.solarvps.com from my experience with them in the past they are a very good company and all servers are managed and cpanel / whm installed if you choose to have them installed

I just built out a new VPS cluster with XenServer 5.5. - It's been running for about a month now. I'm using a bunch of the new Dell PowerEdge Servers (with 2 Nelaham Processors in each) and 48 gigs of ram.

I have transfered 80% of my clients onto this new cluster and am amazed at the performance... I'm even more impressed by the VPSs that are taking advantage of shared storage (iSCSI in this case). There is a slight bottleneck in IO wait associated with the iSCSI storage but it's still blazing fast with LAG, and the ability to failover to any node rocks.

I'm not advertising here... haven't even started to on my website, just taking an opportunity to "talk shop". If you're still looking for a VPS host look for a host search for a provider that's using the new nelaham processors... the technology is amazing.

What type of VPS Provider are you looking for I mean are you trying to find a VPS Provider or are you looking to become a VPS Provider

A bit of both to be honest, I am only a small hosting compnay with about 120 customers to my name. I offer 100, 300 and 500Mb web hosting packages, but as of lately a few have been asking for reseller accounts or VPS solutions.

I currently use hostgator servers (reseller packages) but getting a bit to big for them so need to venture out a bit. Dedicated is the true solution, but would like to get into VPS first so that I can see whats involved and then offer VPS to my customers.

I have followed up most links on this thread, but to me, I don't think cost is an issue, its more support and reliability I am after.
