Gremlin
Is there any way to change the New Ticket notification received by the WHMCS admin users who have the support ticket notifications option enabled ? I would have thought this should be a customisable email template but i just can't seem to find it so suspect it's hard coded. I need to remove the line and those that follow at the end of the email that start off with "You can respond to this ticket by simply replying to this email or by logging into the administration area................" When the Admin replies via email this is included in the response to the customer and I'd rather not have the admin URL for our WHMCS install going out on every ticket we reply too (sure smart users can probably find it but it should be removed imo). Are there any hooks I can use to also do some additional parsing on the emails before they're imported into WHMCS via | or POP3 ? Cheers.
[JSH]John
I was looking for that yesterday but couldn't find it. For now, ask your staff to remove the original message but keep the subject. That works for us.
Gremlin
Thanks .. I've already found that isn't a foolproof option though and I'm the only staff member lol .. maybe V4 will cover this one off for us.

Gremlin
Could they please be made customisable in a future release ?
ljesh
I would like to use this thread to urge WHMCS to take more caution and rather then implementing new options, fix the current issues. To me, being unable to use different languages all-around of your WHMCS installation, is simply: a bug. Bug fixes first, WHMCS team. As far as I am aware, WHMCS e-mails in different language template are all messed up since the first version probably (been using WHMCS since 3.4 if I remember correctly). You have 2 rows in english, 1 in some other language, again 2 in english... Why you cant implement perfect multi-language system but you can implement things like multi-currency or other things that to me look like they are much more harder to do. This has been mentioned many times, but WHMCS doesn't support multi-language in the knowledge base, network issues, e-mails are messed up... I just can't understand why you wouldn't try (and fix... you are very good at what you do, so I believe in your team) to fix this issues?
daintree
I was just checking round trying to figure out hot to remove the link that is included the reply to support e-mails too. It seems a real shame that this is not possible. I know the address of my helpdesk system, I don't need it including in the e-mail and I really don't want to send it out to my customers. +1 for being able to remove this (or have it taken off) in future release! Thanks
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted September 23, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted September 23, 2009 It seems a real shame that this is not possible. I know the address of my helpdesk system, I don't need it including in the e-mail and I really don't want to send it out to my customers. Your customers don't see the admin notification email. The email sent to your clients can be edited from Setup > Email Templates.
daintree
That's true. I meant if you reply to the support ticket via e-mail. Then, by default, the original message is normally included. This is fine, and how I would want it, apart from the link to the admin interface being in there. I'm aware I can manually remove it in the reply (or turn off inclusion of the original e-mail in my mail client) but it would be easier if it wasn't in there. Thanks.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted September 23, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted September 23, 2009 WHMCS will endeavour to strip forwarded and quoted emails when submitting a reply, but it depends on the format your mail client uses.
daintree
Thanks for the info John, I didn't know that. Doesn't work for me but I'll try playing with the format.
