chickendippers
We ran php5 in parallel with 4 since November 2005 and then made the full switch in January 2007.
Shaun
The main point i should ask is what do you run you WHMCS on. Knowing this will allow myself and WHMCS to know the amount of people that use php5 when developing mods.

michael_s
We use PHP5. Runs great. Nobody should be using php4 anymore for their WHMCS install (IMHO).

bear
4 is EOL, so no point running it (not to mention it's becoming potentially less secure with each passing day). It was announced long enough ago that your clients should have been aware of it and ported their applications to 5x. Clinging to 4x for the sake of not having to deal with changes is going to eventually bite you in the backside. We run WHMCS on 5.
Shaun
This response is pretty much what i thought. This is a good thing and means that we can start using some of the awesome tech that is available to us in php5

handsonwebhosting
We stopped support of PHP4 for our hosting customers in Septebmer 2008 (that was the last set of PHP4 & MySQL4 servers with Apache 1.3.x was in operation). All servers in our network are now PHP5, MySQL5 and Apache 2.2.x. We've run WHMCS on Version 5 platforms since January 2008 however.
