bear
It's against the terms of the CC companies to save or store that information beyond the initial transaction, so you won't find it in the CC info. You need to hand process with "no CVV available".

pod
there are many banks that absolutely require the cvc and will not approve an order without the cvc code.. this becomes a huge issue.
bear
I can't speak for non-US processors, but the ones I use will cancel your ability to process thier card(s) if it's discovered you're storing CVV numbers. If you really must have it to process the order, make that part of the call you make to verify the orders you receive. That's what I do.
pckill
it's a good idea, but a customer with a monthly recurring service.... uff, it's a hard work with hundred of customers. but there is some way that this data it's sent by email along with the notice of credit card payment and not store in the data base.?
othellotech
From what I recall VISA only allow you to retain the CVV code if you've been approved and passed the PCI compliancy. Mastercard do not allow you to retain the information after you processed the order, and if you want to regularly invoice the same card, you have to apply for continuos authority (CA) added to your merchant account, while 2nd and subsequent auth's on the same card do not have to submit a cvv number
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted July 12, 2008 WHMCS CEO Share Posted July 12, 2008 If your merchant requires you to have the CVV number in order to process a payment, that means you don't have permission to do transactions without the card holder present and therefore you will be breaking the terms of your merchant account in attempting to do so. You will either need to have your customers pay each invoice manually or change to a merchant account which does allow recurrent processing. othellotech
If you have MailOrder Authority attached to your merchant agreement you are required to send the CVVs in your batch processing, and they're all CNP Transactions
