jacksony
Dear All, Is it possible to prevent customer from signing up stand-alone Weebly free plan? As we only want to provide it, if customer signs up a shared hosting package. Is that possible? As there have been much abuse when customer just sign up for free plan.
WHMCS ChrisD
Hi @jacksony Out of the box, no there is not a way to disable this as a standalone product you would only be able to disable the free plan. The other option might be to use a hook however would you like me to move this to a board where someone may be able to assist you with hooks?
jacksony
Thanks Chris! I see. If that is the case we will just disable the free option for now. 🙂

Is that possible? in other words, prevent selling the free plan as a separate product, but continue offering it as a product addon with hosting packages? the way I would suggest would be to go to setup -> product/services => product/services... scroll down and find the Weebly Free Plan... and tick the "Hidden" checkbox - that will remove it from the Weebly sales pages... for added insurance, you could also enable Stock Control by ticking its checkbox and ensuring the value is set to 0 - that way, even if they somehow manage to try to add the free stand-alone plan to the cart, the cart will remove it as being out of stock. anyone purchasing a hosting product, will still the Weebly free plan available as as addon during ordering... btw - this is tested in v7.10 and v8 beta - but I see no reason why it wouldn't work in earlier, or forthcoming releases, too.
jacksony
Hi Brian, Thank you again. Wow that is some workaround which I didn't thought of. Thank you. We will consider activating Weebly free using your work around. But anything stand-alone which is free is not good.. 🙂
