bear
It's been asked a number of times to have Namesilo included as a native module, which would allow sync and other operations without the need for externally run crons and scripts. a competing product to WHMCS (begins with "C") created one, and has all the features a native module should. Namesilo even has an unencrypted script so the basic work is all done and the info available there how to create your own and not rely on theirs. Why the refusal to act on this and create one here? Each time it's brought up, we get sent to the feature requests, which never sees anything done (but it has gotten votes, until closed, even in there). It's always felt like a way to make things "go away" and not something to be taken seriously. A kind of "keep them busy and complaints off the community" thing. Please?

It's always felt like a way to make things "go away" and not something to be taken seriously. A kind of "keep them busy and complaints off the community" thing. the quandaries of the feature request system... the request linked to by NameSilo on their site has 46 votes over 7 years, but got declined 4 years ago for only having 21 votes in 2 years. Quote This request has been open for 2 years and we only have 21 votes - the demand just isn't there to justify the development of an official module. the staff person who posted seems to have shortly left after posting that - i'm not suggesting their linked, just an interesting observation. the latest request has 19 votes in a year and is still under consideration.... possibly 18 votes too many, otherwise it might have got some traction! 🙄 makes no sense to me to have one declined and the other under consideration - nor is there any public way to know (WHMCS probably do) if any of the 19 people who voted for the latest one also voted for the other (or vice versa). so what should users do? vote on both in the hope that the former will be resuscitated or only on the latest request ?? I would have thought they should be merged and marked UC so as to get a "truer" representation of demand - not that it is a good representation in reality as you couldn't know if someone had voted for this 5 years ago, whether they're a) still using NameSilo and/or b) still using WHMCS!... and if the answer to either is no, then their vote isn't really relevant any longer in my eyes.

yggdrasil
Well, now that I checked their Reseller pricing it seems they are indeed very good priced over other alternatives. I might be also interested on this module.
