Uploading a theme

Recommended Posts

I have downloaded a theme from the WHMCS market and I am trying to upload it to my site. I have downloaded i have downloaded filezilla to connect to the server but all i get is an time out error.

Its my first time using filezilla and im not really sure on what to put in the Host and port area. My site is www.mhwebhosting.com and i have tried putting:

www.mhwebhosting.com

mhwebhosting.com

mhwebhosting.com/admin

and leaving the port blank, but none of these seem to work. Is there anything I need to do before it will connect?

as a user of Filezilla, i'd have gone with the fourth option (the one that you didn't list!) - ftp.mhwebhosting.com

for the port, you may need to consult your hosts, or if using cPanel, you might be able to download a configuration file for Filezilla for this specific account.

if it's an insecure ftp link, it should probably default to using port 21; if it's a secure sftp link, it might be 22 - but your hosts should be able to give you specific information on what to use on your server.
