kmdguy
So, I'm way behind the times and have a very stable version of WHMCS 4.4.2 running, but I want to get everything up to speed for the new year. Are there any issues with downloading the latest version and doing a manual update over such an older version? Can I simply follow the tutorial video for manual updates and have it work OK over my version, or do I need to do some incremental version updates to get there? I don't want to start touching anything until I know I'm safe. Thanks, Dan
WHMCS ChrisD
Hey Dan You will be fine upgrading you may need to remove modules that are no longer compatible and update your templates but enabling errors post upgrade will identify any troublesome issues
brian!
Dan, it might be worth reading what I just posted in another thread as the same steps would likely apply to you... removing modules is fine if you don't need them... but if you do need them, either get updated versions of them or don't upgrade until you can find an alternative.
