jfreak53
So I just upgraded to 7.1.0 and the new version won't let me move widgets around to order them as I please as in older versions. What gives? It's such a simple feature why on earth would WHMCS remove this?
wsa
I guess they remove it was a nice feature
bear
I seem to recall reading here it had to do with some of the widgets being larger than others, so they said there wasn't a way to do it reliably...or something similar to that. The cost of progress, eh?
RFEHosting
So I just upgraded to 7.1.0 and the new version won't let me move widgets around to order them as I please as in older versions. What gives? It's such a simple feature why on earth would WHMCS remove this? I wondered that to and found out they can be sorted by editing each of their files under modules/widgets/ Each one has a php file in there, change their "weight" and that is the order. Starting with 0,10,20,etc Lowest number is first. LEt me know if you get stuck on anything.
charlottezweb
Any idea how to move (reweight) the Paypal balance widget? It's not stored as a standalone widget file in that folder. Cheers, Jason
brian!
Any idea how to move (reweight) the Paypal balance widget? It's not stored as a standalone widget file in that folder. isn't it added to the homepage by the encrypted Paypal adddon code itself ? if so, then I doubt there's much you can do to change it's weight (for now).
charlottezweb
isn't it added to the homepage by the encrypted Paypal adddon code itself ? if so, then I doubt there's much you can do to change it's weight (for now). That's my assumption as the only two files I've found are in the addon module folder itself. Those are encrypted as you said. The fact that it loads at the very end seems like it would indicate it might not be using a weight and is just being loaded after the others. Otherwise, I could try to make all the other files' weights super high to see if that might make it load first. Not worth the effort in my book. I miss the ability to drag/reorder. Thanks, Jason
brian!
Hi Jason, the cynic in me would expect that WHMCS haven't modified the widget code in any way within the paypal addon - and therefore it's still using the old v6 (unweighted) code. I assume the fact it shows up, with other v6 widgets, in the administrator roles page confirms this. I should add that I suspect re-weighting the others super high would be about the only way to do it.
charlottezweb
I've raised the weight to be very high for a few and that does seem to reorder them after Paypal but the tricky thing is that the orders change based upon whether they are maximized/minimized due to the way it's loading them across 3 columns. I'm not sure if editing them all to be high would do the trick but I may try that later today.
