ditto
I am currently running WHMCS 6.3.1 on PHP 5.6.27 with newest ioncube loaders 6.0.5 However I really would like to upgrade to PHP 7, but I don't want to upgrade WHMCS to 7 before there is a option to disable automatic updater https://forums.whmcs.com/showthread.php?119614-How-to-disabled-Automatic-Updater When I study WHMCS 6.3.x changelog http://docs.whmcs.com/Version_6.3.0_Release_Notes , I found this: "FEATURE-1247 - Compatibility Updates for PHP 7": So, it seems it might be worth testing if WHMCS 6.3.1 will run on PHP 7. Have anyone tested it? As noted I already run the latest ioncube loaders 6.0.5, and they work fine on PHP 5.6 and WHMCS 6.3.1
sentq
PHP 7 is the reason why WHMCS released v7 1 year after major release v6

WHMCS ChrisD
Hi ditto, WHMCS v7 is the only version that will run on PHP 7 it will not run with WHMCS v6.3.1

If you're running 6.3.1 on a server below PHP7, how does one upgrade to the latest WHMCS? Will WHMCS 7* run on less than PHP 7 at least for the transition?
twhiting9275
WHMCS7 supports PHP 5.6, so you have to be running 5.6 at minimum

Hey Bear, As twhiting9275 & sentq version 6.3 & version 7 works with PHP 5.6 so you can upgrade to 5.6 and then switch out to PHP 7 if all your modules are PHP7 compatible
