Promo code for B1G1 free

Greenix

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I need to make a promo code so when a customer makes an order for item A, they will get another item A for free. What is the best way to do this? With so many variations, I get a little confused.

If it helps... this is mainly for use for sales reps offline so they can give a client an incentivized promo code - and track the sales per rep.

Thanks in advance for your help :)

Hi John,

I had thought of that, but we need the promo code to track the sale.

So I just made a workaround. I created a new product for 2 A items. Then I made a promo code fixed price - reflecting the single item price.

Not ideal for a sales pitch, but should work.

Thanks!

Meredith

you can use promotion codes with product bundles.

ironically, that's probably going to be the simplest way... bundles would work fine, but they'd have to go through the cart and add 'A' twice... your way, the user only has to add the product once.

there are alternate 3rd-party solutions, such as Module Garden's Discount Center - but if you need to use promo codes to track the sale, then perhaps it's not suitable for your needs... especially if this product 'A' promotion is only a one-off.
