snake
I have all my own domains setup under a user which gets a 100% discount on the group. WHMCS is generating an invoice for the domain renewals for £0.00, marking it as paid, but the domains are not being renewed. Any idea why ?
brian!
any clues in the activity log? balance issue with the registrar ?? if this is v6.3.0, there was a bug with renewals that was fixed in v6.3.1

It is almost as if it is intentionally not doing it because the invoice was £0
zomex
Hello, On the clients profile is the recurring price showing as £0 or the correct price? Which domain registrar are you using?
brian!
seems to be a long-running problem for you! http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?95282-how-to-process-free-domain-renewals this probably won't help you - but for many reasons, one of which being silly quirks of the software like this, we keep our own domains well away from WHMCS and renew them directly with the registrars.

I had switched to using a group discount instead of just making the domain free, hoping that would get around the previous issue you linked to. For this particular domain, the recurring price was also set to £0 as well. I dread to ask what other quirks there are ?
yorkukhosting
Is the following option enabled? General Settings > Domains > Auto Renew Requires Product
snake
Is the following option enabled? General Settings > Domains > Auto Renew Requires Product yes that setting is enabled, does this apply regardless of how the domain is free, discount, group etc ? Although it did not generate any kind of message or warning.
brian!
I thought that setting wouldn't apply as I worked on the assumption that these were individual domains not linked to any product. I suppose if you had a free product each assigned one of these domains set for free renewal, then that might renew as normal... but it seems a silly thing to have to do to get a domain to renew for nothing... as I said, quirks of the software.
