modifying individual contacts in Resellerclub module

It seems that using Resellerclub module it's possible to edit only Registrant data; and registrant data are then used also for other contacts (admin, billing, tech)

And it seems there's no way (trogh WHMCS) to edit different data profiles for the dsame domains: if you need to do it, you have to do it "by hand" in RC panel...

 

I found old threads about this issue, but no one fixed it... and one this a wrong answer too ( http://forums.whmcs.com/showthread.php?34460-Domain-Contacts-Update&highlight=resellerclub+contacts )

So... is it true? Is it really impossible to modify individual contact profiles?

 

I asked to RC's support, and they wrote that "WHMCS have developed their own domain registration module. We cannot trouble shoot it beyond a point as it is not developed by us."

as far as I know, it's still the case... I don't even think that you can do it using the free ResellerclubMods addon, but you can with one of his commercial products, "Resellerclub Extended Management Domain Interface"...

I think if there's one person here who knows most about the resellerclub API, it will be Marco - the author of the addon.

I believe that all the registrar modules included with WHMCS are coded by WHMCS (and supported by them) - so if they're bugged, only WHMCS can resolve them as only they will know the code used... any third-party registrar addons, e.g Hexonet and OpenSRS have their own (available from their sites), aren't supported by WHMCS.

 

there is a feature request for this, but it's over 2 years old and has had just 3 votes... so don't hold your breath waiting for WHMCS to add it.

That's quite an old thread

 

Domains registered in WHMCS v6.3 will assign a unique contact to each individual domain as opposed to one contact per client in v6.2 and earlier. The one contact is still used for registrant, admin, tech and billing whois records on that particular domain however.

 

This is 'unique' to ResellerClub, other registrar modules which do not have such a system can have the individual whois records edited.

when you say unique to Resellerclub, do you mean Logicboxes - e.g the same situation occurs for domains registered using Netearthone and Stargate (resell.biz)... or just Resellerclub?

Yes the same is true for all the Logicboxes modules. The NetEarthOne and Resell.biz modules basically just include the ResellerClub module which contains the code.

It's pretty simple to implement this with ResellerClub. At least give us the option to modify your current module (provide the source code) instead of writing a new one from the beggining.
