CCSupport
Hello all, Setting up a new WHMCS site backend. However the emails being sent contain the 'Â' character before the £ sign: Invoice #1 Amount Due: £0.00 GBP Due Date:05/06/2015 Invoice Items Test Invoice 1 £0.00 GBP ------------------------------------------------------ Sub Total: £0.00 GBP 20.00% VAT: £0.00 GBP Credit: £0.00 GBP Total: £0.00 GBP Anyone seen this?
CCSupport
Just to add to this, the issue is linked to the use of a pound sign. If I change the currency Prefix to a dollar sign or no prefix at all then the 'Â' is not shown....
brian!
what are you language settings and system charset ? (setup -> general settings -> localisation)
CCSupport
Default settings for charset, so utf-8. Language is English United Kingdom. The issue is when changing the default currency for the dollar to the pound. Unsure why as we have the same setup on a different whmcs server without issue. - - - Updated - - - Just spotted that when viewing the invoice emails on my Android phone it shows correctly... So could be something with how Outlook 2013 is showing the code
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted May 28, 2015 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted May 28, 2015 Hi, You could try with £ as the currency code instead. That could work better.
