Confusion over soft limits and suspension

Yes, I have read through the documentation, and i'm still confused/unclear..

I want clients to be billed for disk and bandwidth overage, not suspend - so I have setup:

  • WHMCS->product module settings very high
  • WHMCS->Other soft limits to the actual allowed limits
  • Cpanel/WHM package settings at actual allowed limits so clients can see how close they are to their limits

My confusion/question is: Will Cpanel suspend the account when it hits the WHM package limit? and if so, if I change that limit in cpanel, what will the client see as their allowed limits/% of use in WHMCS and Cpanel?

..or, am I missing something?

Hi,

By default cPanel will suspend accounts that reach the bandwidth limit and will not allow users to use more disk space than allocated. As a result one would typically set the WHM package limits higher than the soft limits in WHMCS. This gives users the chance to exceed them so you can bill for overage.
