Problem with domains .mx

I have a problem with whois and domain. Mx

When I search domains. Mx not work.

With the other domains works well.

Now check and if I have enabled port 43 on my server

Hi,

I've tested this here in v5.3.7 and can confirm the status of .mx domains is being reported correctly.

Please ensure there is nothing blocking connections between your server and whois.nic.mx.

May I ask since the whois is working what registrars are available for .mx domains that won't break the bank?

The problem is intermittent sometimes works and sometimes does not work anymore.

the English version of that error message is: "There was a problem connecting to the domain registry. Please try again later".

 

i'm wondering if there is a network or firewall issue between your server and the .mx whois server?

looking for a bit I found that for the whois is necessary to open port 43 on the server I've got this port enabled.

 

What makes me weird is that only happens for about 2 hours in the day, after this time works well whois

When this is occurring, I would recommend trying to check the availability of a .MX domain from the client area (any domain) and click the WHOIS link. A new window will open with the WHOIS details for the domain. I suspect it is a connectivity issue (perhaps a block by the .MX registry for too many lookups or something similar) and any errors there will need to be reported to the .MX registry for investigation and they should be able to resolve it for you.
