stormy
It's been a few months since the Feature Requests area was open: https://requests.whmcs.com It was exciting for a while, with lots of participation and a big number of worthwhile requests. Has any of those been implemented? I'm asking honestly here, because I don't see a whole lot of requests marked as "completed". Those that are completed seem to be requests for features that were already available in WHMCS. I hate to say it, but these days it looks like the feature request area is a black hole for bugs that are deemed not worth fixing.
Infopro
... I hate to say it, but these days it looks like the feature request area is a black hole for bugs that are deemed not worth fixing. As you may have heard, it's been a very busy, exciting, and at times, troubling summer here at WHMCS, stormy. Keep an eye on the WHMCS Feature Requests System though, development continues as expected.
stormy
So I take that as a "no". That's a pretty poor record for one year of keeping people busy posting in the feature request system. P.S: Life in general, and business in particular, is always busy, exciting and at times, troubling. Mine is.
Infopro
I disagree.
stormy
It's an honest question that is easy to answer. Just mention a few requests that have been implemented, or tell us why the ones with the most votes haven't.
Infopro
Yes I know it's an honest question, you mention that, twice. And then you call the Features site a black hole having a poor record. https://requests.whmcs.com/responses/idea/status/completed I already did. It's been a bit busy at WHMCS this past year.
stormy
And then you call the Features site a black hole having a poor record. https://requests.whmcs.com/responses/idea/status/completed I do. Just look at the "completed" features. They are either not completed or were already existing. Anyway, it's good to know that WHMCS is busy not listening to its customers.
Infopro
It's good to know you're still there pushing for truth, justice and new features, too.
stormy
I'm just trying to figure out whether it's worth spending our time writing feature requests and voting on them, that's all. I got the answer I was looking for, too.
Infopro
Correct, you did, in my first reply. Feedback, and new Feature Requests are needed, expected, and very much welcome. Of course they are. Would you mind, please link me to all the feature requests you've posted to date? Thanks in advance!

Alex - Arvixe
The feature requests is worth your time. Essentially now the focus seems to be on bug fixing (5.3) and security, after that hopefully we will see a more stable product with new features starting to come out after the initial 5.3 release. You can see the changelog of WHMCS 5.3 here: http://docs.whmcs.com/Changelog:WHMCS_V5.3 Essentially as your business runs on WHMCS I am sure you would like for a stable product with as little bugs in it as possible instead of them ignoring the bugs, bringing in new features in every release and breaking more things.
stormy
Here's my list of contributions, Infopro. Can I see yours? https://requests.whmcs.com/profile/119
Infopro
Thank you for the link and your contributions to the Feature site. I see one of your Feature Requests is tagged with: In Progress. That's a good thing! Thank you for your interest in what I do as well. My contribution is managing this forum each day. Way less exciting than your posted Feature Requests to be sure.
malfunction
You can see the changelog of WHMCS 5.3 here: http://docs.whmcs.com/Changelog:WHMCS_V5.3 That could be informative, but there don't appear to have been any substantive changes in the last three months? As for the feature requests area, out of 1384 feature requests there are 19 completed, 7 in progress and 4 planned - it's going to take a while to get to the bottom of that list
Alex - Arvixe
That could be informative, but there don't appear to have been any substantive changes in the last three months I believe the latest beta release was 5.3.1 so once the next beta/stable release of 5.3 is out then the page will be updated to reflect it's changes.
