Merge Fields with Quotes

How do you get Available Merge Fields to work when creating a quote? Or does it now work. I used the merge fields from the emails and it does not appear to work.

I used {client_company_name} and {$client_company_name} requires a site that:requires a site that: in the notes section, and it appears exactly like that on the quote and pdf that is emailed.

 

what am I doing incorrectly?

{$client_company_name} should be the one that works - assuming the client has a company name.

 

have you used any stylesheet code in your email template ? have you made any other modifications (apart from trying to add these merge fields) ?
