Infopro
Greetings WHMCS Community, Your experience and valuable insight is requested. We're looking for a few good men to help us with some testing of a module called CentralCP, for possible inclusion into the WHMCS product. And, we're hoping you might be interested in taking part, and providing us with some feedback on the integration of the product with WHMCS, and its usefulness to you. To be able to get the most out of this module, it should be setup and tested using multiple servers by an experienced System Administrator with the hardware to put it to good use, someone who knows his way around WHMCS and cPanel, like you. If you're interested, we would like to provide you with a license key, and give you access to a private Feedback group area, setup here on the WHMCS Community Forums. There, you can discuss any issues, concerns or suggestions you may have directly with the team behind the CentralCP product. You can review the features of CentralCP at this URL: http://centralcp.com/features/ The testing we'll be doing is for a module that has been created specifically for WHMCS. The ultimate goal of this test is to understand your thoughts on having this functionality included as part of the WHMCS product and the overall value it might bring to such a feature set. This Feedback group is intended to be a select group of only a handful of worthy, experienced users that can assist us with some rigorous testing of this module across multiple servers, put it thru the paces and see how well it works for you in your own environment. Preferred prerequisites: Not in the WHMCS Beta Testers group. Actively selling shared hosting and managing multiple servers. Willingness to share detailed opinions and feedback on the product. We're looking for 10 users that fit those prerequisites. If you're interested in getting involved, reply to this thread so that we can get you added to the group. The developers are already in place on this private forum and looking forward to discussing this interesting new module with you as soon as possible. Thank you in advance for your time. Troy
I've actually used CentralCP in the past--not currently. It had some shortcomings at the time. Perhaps those are gone now. I'd be happy to test this in our multi-server environment.

Try it out and let us know if you need any more features/changes. We have multiple CentralCP staff on the forums to assist all testers.
DavidBee
Stupid question, do I need a VM or Server to host CentralCP on? Does not mention this anywhere on the website. If so what sort of specs would I need.

Try it out and let us know if you need any more features/changes. I'll do that! Guess I'll wait and see if WHMCS wants me to test. I probably shouldn't have said "shortcomings" in my response above--it was just an early version that wasn't as robust as WHMAdmin at the time (although it was much prettier!). At any rate I've come to rely on this type of tool, so am looking forward to seeing how it's come along.

If so what sort of specs would I need. You just need to upload the files to your WHMCS installation and it will show up under Modules. If you order standalone CentralCP you can install it on a shared hosting account, vps or server. I'll do that! Guess I'll wait and see if WHMCS wants me to test. As it is now a WHMCS module, it is very tightly integrated with WHMCS and also tested thoroughly for the past 1 month. Try it out and let me know what you think. tsiedsma
I can test it although I am a WHMCS Beta Tester as well. I've already got a free license for CentralCP 1.1.0 and don't really use it because of some issues I've had with it. What improvements have you made since then? What does your WHMCS module do that CentralCP 1.1.0 doesn't do? Edited July 18, 2013 by tsiedsma
Troy
Are we waiting for some sort of response from WHMCS saying they'd like us to test, or are we supposed to just get the free version and try it out? LaceHost-Ishan--one of the things I missed compared to WHMAdmin when I first looked at CentralCP was a way to launch directly into an account's cPanel, or the server's WHM, after finding the account in CentralCP. Has that been added at all?

Infopro
Hi guys: Stupid question, do I need a VM or Server to host CentralCP on? Does not mention this anywhere on the website. If so what sort of specs would I need. If you've got WHMCS installed and operating and have access to multiple servers running cPanel, you should be good. I would appreciate be a beta tester of Central CP. Does the answer above describe your situation?
Infopro
Hi guys, You can be a Beta Tester as well, the idea of that specific prerequisite was to give others a chance to get into some of the action testing something for the Community. I've actually used CentralCP in the past--not currently. It had some shortcomings at the time. Perhaps those are gone now. I'd be happy to test this in our multi-server environment. I'll add you to the group today, Troy. I can test it although I am a WHMCS Beta Tester as well.I've already got a free license for CentralCP 1.1.0 and don't really use it because of some issues I've had with it. What improvements have you made since then? What does your WHMCS module do that CentralCP 1.1.0 doesn't do? I'll add you as well. To be clear, you will not need one of the licenses we have for these users, or you will? Id love to test it as we have several cpanel servers + we are beta testers + we develope modules for whmcs + .. we would like to . I'll add you today. I would love to test this as well, we have > 100 cPanel boxes and ~5 WHMCS instant running in production. I'll add you today. We're almost at 10 users. Once we get there I'll send out an email with all the details to each of you individually, to get you going in the right direction. Thank you all for your interest. Infopro
Gentlemen, WHMCS Community users that are in the Beta Group, will still have Beta Group title under usernames on the forums, as that group takes precedence over the module product Feedback group. Otherwise, your new titles should be in place under your username. Please do be sure that your forums email address is up to date if you would please. We're hoping to hear back from the other users mentioned a few posts back, by me, to be sure they have an interest and the environment to properly test. I'm hoping we can have all 10 slots filled by Monday. For now, all users to be added, now have access to the private forum. We'll have more details for you the start of next week in there, and provide you with the keys to get started. Feel free to post to the private forum to test your account if you like, in the meantime. Thank you again for your interest in this guys.
Iniz
We don't mind help testing it out, we have several servers we'd love to have something in a centralised area to manage our IPs/vlan setup and servers Edited July 21, 2013 by Iniz
LaceHost-Ishan
I can test it although I am a WHMCS Beta Tester as well.I've already got a free license for CentralCP 1.1.0 and don't really use it because of some issues I've had with it. What improvements have you made since then? What does your WHMCS module do that CentralCP 1.1.0 doesn't do? Hello, The WHMCS module is a complete code rewrite. We have also used json API instead of XML API making it faster. 1. The WHMCS Module tightly integrates with WHMCS, so you do not need to add servers any more, you can just select them from your WHMCS installation. 2. The cPanel accounts are connected to WHMCS accounts. 3. It now checks whether your WHMCS and Servers are in sync by checking account status in WHMCS and the servers and reporting discrepancies. 4. The reports are directly added within WHMCS Reports. 5. We will soon add Widgets in Homepage widgets as well to complete the module with same functionality as CentralCP 1.1.0 . We are looking at following features to be added soon - 1. DNS Management 2. Reseller ACL Management

I'm interested in testing your WHMCS module, so I assume I still need a license for that. As for your comment about Beta Testers, none of us have had a chance to test anything, WHMCS hasn't released 5.3 to us yet and haven't had an update on it in over a month. It will be nice to test something new.
NetLink
I'm willing to give it a try. Latest WHMCS is in production use, and we have several dedicated servers, some running cPanel, and a couple of hybrid servers, all running cPanel.

Alex - Arvixe
Was this product created by WHMCS or a 3rd party? I remember it being advertised previously at WebHostingTalk or some place. How would this work if integrated into WHMCS? What data would be sent to central cp servers?
