WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted December 3, 2012 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted December 3, 2012 Hi, Which version did you upgrade from & which download did you apply?
PedroFelipe
The same for me. From 5.1.2 to 5.1.3. Down for Maintenance An upgrade is currently in progress... Please come back soon... I've uploaded dbconnect.php from WHMCS 5.1.2 and the message doesn't disappear. What can I do?
evotz
We get our WHMCS from another provider, but apparently they haven't gotten it yet, so we can't upgrade. Never really understood why whmcs.com doesn't just let people download it directly from their site. It has to be licensed anyway to be used. At the very least, can you provide us with an md5sum of the current "correct" WHMCS v5.1.3 package? I really hope this doesn't become another 5.1.2 fiasco where 5.1.2 was release... "woops! wrong PayPal" ... and then re-release again as version 5.1.2. How did you know if you got the bad 5.1.2?
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted December 4, 2012 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted December 4, 2012 Hi, You can download directly using the links from the release announcement: http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?64778 Security patches never require access to our client area to download, so reseller licence holders aren't disadvantaged in any way. When upgrading from 5.1.2 you just need to download and apply the v512googlecheckoutpatch file.
mrl14
What about 5.0? How come there was no mention of this. How can both a version before and after that be affected? It would have been great to have some info there.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted December 5, 2012 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted December 5, 2012 Hi, Version 5.0.3 is also affected by the Google Checkout Issue. You can download and apply the 5.1 modules/gateways/callback/googlecheckout.php file. Don't apply the dbconnect from 5.1 (this will stop install working).
webmaster305
What is the deal with the 5.1.3 patch?? I patched my 5.1.2 with it and now my whmcs admin home screen does not display any of the info panels and just shows the version information and the payment modules have stopped working for me! When I go to the setup, payment modules page, I see the paypal entries but no way to modify or activate or anything. Great job guys! How do I fix this?
webmaster305
BTW, I downloaded the 5.1.3 patch and simply uploaded the dbconnect file and modules folder to my whmcs install directory and replaced all with the new files. It said no upgrade necessary so why did it mess things up?
easyhosting
I had 5.1.2 and followed For the 5.1 series, please use the file: http://go.whmcs.com/46/v512googlecheckoutpatch and this worked fine with no issues
