PDF Invoice Not Printing Currency Symbols

After recent upgrade (Version: 5.0.3) all pdf invoices are not printing some currency symbols.

 

This is euros: ¤8.89

 

and Rupee: ₨ 1,229

 

In Settings TCPDF Font Family; Helvetica is selected

 

Any suggestions please.

Hi,

The first thing to try is re-entering your currency symbols under Setup > Payments > Currencies > Edit.

No luck, same display errors only in the pdf invoices.

perhaps the default pdf font doesn't contain the rupee symbol - maybe changing the TCPDF font in setup might do the trick

 

Setup > General Settings > Invoices > TCPDF Font

if that doesn't work, then you may need to look at customising the pdf invoice template and replacing the rupee symbol with a graphic - that's probably doable, but tricky... so hopefully the font change solves your problem.
