easyhosting
We are finding as well that if a client orders a uk domain for 1,3 or more years then it will not be registered,it will show:"Command syntax error". exactly bugs in the system for the new setup, so i will wait until all ironed out

WHMCS CEO Matt Posted May 2, 2012 WHMCS CEO Share Posted May 2, 2012 Having run some tests to look into this, it seems that despite there being no changes whatsoever needed to the actual content of what is being sent to Nominet, they have seen fit to make it require a different schema number in the XML request, and so we are going to have to provide an update just with a change for that. I'll update this post with the file shortly. Matt

yatest9
Yeah, cheers Matt. In my opinion it's not a feature that I'm mega-desperate for, but it would be nice to implement before some of the other big-boys get round to re-coding their systems.
xperience
Thanks Matt - all working great. Simon
othellotech
Odd, as I have completed two WHMCS installations for this, and even years were always possible It's never been possible (with Nominet) to register for anything other than a single 2 year period *EVER* until yesterday. We implemented it with a combination of the auto-renewal and some custom code back in 2002, but it's only now possible to do it at the registry For anyone using the automaton the "fix" for periods other than 2years is to add period: (N)Y where (N) is the reg_period from WHMCS
NIMHOST
We implemented the patch on our install and registrations work great - thanks. However submitting a renewal for 1 year results in a Command Syntax error. Is there another patch available or anything we can do to fix this? Thanks
yatest9
We're having problems with renewals too - even for two years. Nominet's API seemed to be having problems earlier so perhaps it's that.

WHMCS CEO Matt Posted May 4, 2012 WHMCS CEO Share Posted May 4, 2012 What about the other registrar modules - specifically ENOM in our case..... http://www.enom.com/download/UKSystemChanges.htm No updates are required for the Enom module in WHMCS for these changes ( http://blog.whmcs.com/?t=46926 ) However I'm attaching here the latest version of the Nominet module which should resolve the issue that has arisen with the renewals -again this just needs to be uploaded to the Nominet module folder @ /modules/registrars/nominet/ to take effect. lance
Hi Matt, applied the new file thanks.. will see now if the renewal works ok... still get the error on the sync report though :- Nominet Domain Sync Report --------------------------------------------------- Error for xxxxx.co.uk: V221 Cannot use different versions of XML schema 'nom-domain-'
jameshostit
Hi Matt, Do you need to be running a particular version of whmcs for this module to work? I uploaded to our installation and now any .uk domains in the admin area present a blank page? James
WHMCS Developer WHMCS Andrew Posted May 4, 2012 WHMCS Developer Share Posted May 4, 2012 You will need to be running v5 to run this file. If you are running a previous version, submit a ticket and we can send you an update for pre v5.

Lance if you open a ticket, we can get this sent across to you Hi Matt, Applied the fix but registrations are still failing with "Command syntax error" If the fix is not working, please open a ticket with the module log for the command generating the error. Information on the module log and how to enable it can be found at http://docs.whmcs.com/Troubleshooting_Module_Problems
