violetrocco
This may be a question of preference ... but is it better to create WHMCS under sub-domain or sub-directory? and Why if any. ie. client.owndomain.com or domain.com/client/ Best Regards

zomex
This is definitely more so personal preference. I prefer a sub-directory in most cases but either way will work well.
No1Servers
I'm using a sub-directory so I can use the same SSL cert to secure my main site along with WHMCS!
mylove4life
It matters really now you are going to use it, like myself I made pages in WHMCS so the whole site runs in WHMCS...

That's a very good point, a big enough reason for sub-directories I think.
mylove4life
That really dont matter as the domain itself will have SSL.. That's a very good point, a big enough reason for sub-directories I think.
zomex
That really dont matter as the domain itself will have SSL.. It does matter because the cheaper SSL certificates will not work on more than one sub-domain. Where as all SSL certificates work on all sub-directories. To work with all sub-domains you need a wildcard SSL which is generally more expensive.

Daniel
Subdomain, that way you can have it on a completely different account, keeping it away from the rest of your site.
