vincent1
Hi, I have a couple of client accounts that are showing a credit balance, but no idea why :-( Is there anyway to trace when and how a particular credit was added please? many thanks, - Vincent
Damo
View the client and click the Transactions Tab. All account transactions will be there.
vincent1
Thanks Damo, I already looked there. Only transaction showing for this client is $100 from last year for 1 year hosting which is now due, but WHMCS is showing they have a $100 credit :-( Could WHMCS have miss-allocated the payment for hosting last year as a credit? How can we find out? I have kept DB backups so maybe should contact support here and see if they can nail this for me. - Vincent
WebsiteIntegrations
did you try the 'view account statement' - it should list dates for any invoice payments as well as Credit Prefunding
vincent1
Oh, thanks I never noticed the 'View account statement' Still not clear to me though as to what happened. Attached screenshot if it helps. Many thanks for your patience with trying to get to the bottom of this. - Vincent
WebsiteIntegrations
looking at that they shouldn't actually have a credit balance. Debits is what they owed and credits is what they paid - so they owe 108.99
vincent1
Indeed, hence why I'm confused as to why WHMCS has given this account $100 in credit. Hope John or Matt can answer to this thread, else maybe raise a ticket to them, - Vincent
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted November 3, 2011 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted November 3, 2011 Are there any entries under on "Manage Credits" popup? Of course a member of staff could have always edited the credit balance directly via the Profile tab and there wouldn't be a transaction or credit record for that.
