faheemuddin91
Suppose I have a web design company and my method of payment is that I take 50% of the fee before the project begins, and 50% after the project finishes. How would I use WHMCS to create such an invoicing system ? Because I've seen in WHMCS, its like one time fee or recurring fee. How can I put a custom script or something, so that may be possible ?
altomarketing
you should create 2 invoices with different dates
Alistair
Yep, that's what I would do.
faheemuddin91
Thats what I thought. But can't it be like auto setup of invoices with respect to package ? like suppose if someone buys package one, he gets to pay 50% of the invoice right away, and 50% after one month, similarly, if he buys package two, he gets to pay 2nd invoice after 2 months etc. Have you guys heard of such a script / module that would enable me to do that ? I contacted WHMCS support, and they said that I may use quote feature ... Can someone help me out here ?

faheemuddin91
In addition to the above, I was wondering another point regarding webdesign. When I setup one time price of web design like $100, in my cart it shows, $0 USD + $100 USD ... It looks quite awkward ... How can I fix that ? I just want fixed price to appear in my cart, and not the recurring $0 USD one... how can I do that?

I just want fixed price to appear in my cart, and not the recurring $0 USD one... how can I do that? Are you setting up the service as a product or manually creating an invoice? I haven't tried it before but you may be able to remove the setup cost by adding -1 rather than 0 for the product.
faheemuddin91
I tried -1 ... but then it was written -1 instead of 0 in the setup cost. I'm quite confused really.

Have you got "one time" selected rather than recurring? I imagine you have but I'm out of ideas. I guess another option would be to edit the viewcart.tpl file to hide the setup cost for this particular product.
faheemuddin91
Yes ! I even checked that. Is it a bug or something ? My 2nd question is that in the slider cart, where we can change packages by moving the slider left and right, it only shows monthly pricing and not setup cost. So for my webdesign packages which have 0 monthly cost and only setup cost, it would always display 0. How would I fix that ? My 3rd question is that suppose I want that my customer would get free bronze hosting package if he purchases premium webdesign package, how would I do that ? I mean that bronze hosting package would auto setup if he purchases premium webdesign package. I hope someone helps me on this
