rockhost
This isn't directly related to the WHMCS software but I couldn't help notice that while Twitter feed integration is offered in the new software versions, the actual http://twitter.com/whmcs profile is pretty much dead. I am following @WHMCS on Twitter and would love to see more tweets, DMs, and mentions. For instance the @WHMCS account is NOT following another single user. That tells the world @WHMCS doesn't quite "get it." Of course maybe Matt and the guys are just too busy. I don't know. Anyway, I love WHMCS and would like to see more social media activity. Take that to heart, thanks, Seth
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted April 15, 2011 WHMCS CEO Share Posted April 15, 2011 We use the twitter feed mostly as sort of news feed for things like new releases, announcing new modules & addons as they become available, third party API changes that might affect you, etc... So if you want to be one of the first to know about those things, following us on twitter is a good idea. We do try to post regularly. Not sure what the benefit of following other users would be but my concern about random postings would be they might dilute the key messages and make it less easy for people to see the important announcements. Haven't ever even looked at the direct messages - we have the support desk for that and can't deal with 100's of messages saying "plesk look at my ticket now!" via twitter which I'm sure we'd get Matt

rockhost
I find the @WHMCS tweets more than fine. I have been following for quite a while now. My point is that there is far more to Twitter, that's all. For instance, would you have a Facebook account, but no friends? Probably not...it is a two way street. One thought, WHMCS could grab far more exposure through following back, organic rankings, and hashtags. No biggy, quite frankly I like WHMCS so much that I want to see more content. That's my opinion, or "feedback" if you will. Looking forward to v4.5. I just downloaded the Provisional Changelog pdf for my reading pleasure. Take care, Seth

Only people you follow can send you direct messages. Also, the people who you follow will NOT appear in your feed. I guess that's Twitter 101 for 'ya. Thanks for listening, Seth

rockhost
I think for some reason you guys may assume I'm some sort of Twitter freak, ha ha, but I'm not. I'm a WHMCS freak! I do use all of the online social media channels I can though, for business. I have seen a distinct increase in sales after adding LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter to my daily routine. So go on thinking I'm silly if you like, I'll take the money and run. :') Hope you all have great weekends and thanks for your input.
