WHMCS Live Chat vs. LiveZilla?

LunaHost

Question

We've been using Livezilla for quite some time. A recent update has now disabled geotracking which is now a fee-based addon.

I would like the geotracking function but even without it, I am pretty happy with LiveZilla. If I have to pay a fee to turn it back on, I would like to consider WHMCS Live Chat but know little about it.

For about the same cost, I can go either way, so can anyone offer some feedback as to why I should go to WHMCS Live Chat as opposed to staying with LiveZilla? Are there some sale conversion opportunities that I am not taking advantage of? Does Live Chat offer all of the same functionality with regard to customization and integration with sites outside of WHMCS/PHP based sites?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks.

We have used both and really like both. We however prefer LiveZilla obviously for pricing but the feature sets are basically the same but with WHMCS Live Chat when the visitor enters in their email address and if they are a client then it displays account information etc which is quite handy to see, but apart from that we liked LiveZilla because we think their canned responses were much easier to create and manage and although WHMCS Live Chat had a iPhone app it is quite limited. In short, they are both good products.

In addition to the above the Live Chat Addon the chat transcripts are also created as tickets under the client's account.

I Can't rely on it. Many times I do not see the chat in there. So many times I am disappointed with this chat software but nothing is perfect

I gave up using Stardevelop, it didn't even show on the client side when you get disconnected, and keep the chat on. The client would frustrate seeing you not answering.

LiveZilla handles the connections and messages far better than Stardevelop. Once it is developed properly, I would use again, but for now it's impossible to rely on in serious business.

I purchased the WHMCS live chat module after using LiveZilla for the past few years. I found that the benefits of the WHMCS version did not outweigh the benefits of LiveZilla and was back to using LiveZilla within a week.

I am afraid I struggle to rate the WHMCS Live Chat and the Stardevelop interface.

I posted this the same back at Webhostingtalk, though, in reality speaking WHMCS / Stardevelop really do not mix that great, weight the odds between Kayako, Livezilla, and Stardevelop and you will find a great margin coming in first and second in comparison to third which I'd vouch as being Stardevelop :(

I suppose if it was remade over their might be chance, but when you look at your competition there would need to be a great turn around.

We've recently migrated to Stardevelop from Livezilla just to get the ability to respond to live chat from our mobiles. However, the desktop interface is really lacking. It's nowhere near as polished a product as livezilla and offers far fewer features. I havn't had time to test out the iPhone and Android apps yet but unless they are amazing I'll be requesting a refund - Im actually quite surprised that WHMCS chose stardevelop as integration partners when there are much more mature and feature full solutions out there.
