meeven
For example, I want pre-sales and order emails to be handled by sales@mydomain.com, invoices and invoice reminders to be handled from billing@mydomain.com and regular support to be handled through support@mydomain.com Is this possible in WHMCS? The general settings area seems to suggest only one email address.
vchosting
Save the address you want in the Email Template From filed so that the emails will show in the clients inbox as from that address.
meeven
vchosting, thanks for the tip. However, does this actually save the sent email in the specific mailbox's Sent folder (for example, an email sent from Sales gets stored in the Sales mailbox's sent folder)? I am asking because we use IMAP for all email accounts and permanently store messages.
laszlof
Saving mail to a "Sent" box is a function of your email client. WHMCS (or any other web application short of a webmail script) isnt going to do this for you. Outgoing email is however, stored in the database.
meeven
laszlot, what I wanted to be sure is that WHMCS wouldn't delete the mails from the mailboxes when displaying those emails within the WHMCS ticketing area. I hope that's the case (that it doesn't delete)? When you say outgoing email is stored in the database, is it in addition to the storage in the actual mailbox?
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted September 28, 2010 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted September 28, 2010 Emails will be removed from your inbox when they're imported into WHMCS. When using the ticket system you no longer need to check the mailbox directly.
