bear
Piping an email is basically creating a forward for an address that instead of delivering to a mailbox it "pushes" it to a script. alias@domain.com: "|/path/to/pipe/script.php"

bear
Piping means to send it to the script using a forwarder. If you also want a copy to your email, you could probably also send a copy using a second forwarder to a mailbox or account. Most MTAs will create a copy for each forwarder or POP box. Or were you looking for a definition of "pipe"?
