jnet
Is there any way I can stop reminders sent to customers who already have a paypal subscription?
jnet
Any answer please? I mean for one who has an active subscription a reminder might cause him to forget and overpay
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted December 17, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted December 17, 2009 There isn't an option for this.
aXeR
I too suffer from this often as I'm sure many do, I think the only thing you can do is have a section of highlighted text in the email templates mentioning that if you have an active subscription....
Daniel
Yeah I get this all the time, would be much better to have the option to disable this if they have a subscription.
aXeR
I think the problem then would be that if the user cancels the subscription, would WHMCS be updated?
Daniel
I've seen it show up in the gateway log so it would be possible.
mrl14
Great feature idea! I could use this.
jnet
I am sick and tired of all those overpayments. This feature is a MUST
merlinpa1969
Agreed, this is a must, When a user cancels their subscription it sends an IPN notification out so this could in fact be used to disable the subscription switch enabling the invoices to once again be sent, and Yes this really should be a feature

fearlesspk
I have actually had clients leave due to receive this reminder because they feel they shouldn't have to worry about it since paypal will take care of everything.

Sounds like they are the type of clients you could do without then, after all, its their mistake if they forget they have a subscription in place!
Amando
I think this feature is a must as well.
merlinpa1969
Sounds like they are the type of clients you could do without then, after all, its their mistake if they forget they have a subscription in place! Can you afford to lose customers over something this trivial, This entire process could be automated, Matt told me one day " What happens if someone cancels their subscription, what then " The answer to that is simple, Paypal sends an IPN hit on canelled subscriptions,. this could simple then clear out the subscription field. We get several a month where the is a subscription in place and then manual payment... we actually have to go in every day and see if there are credits issued to accounts because of this. Its enough of a hassle that we are actually looking into doing away with paypal
aXeR
If its becoming such a big issue then why not disable paypal subscriptions?
merlinpa1969
Because there are folks that Like subscriptions and actually dont have this issue..... Better Suggestion is for the devs to address this, its been brought up more than once It seems that this is not something your interested in, and thats your right.... lets agree to disagree on this
50mb
I believe it should be in all software using PayPal subscriptions and to answer with PayPal subscriptions its 78% of the worlds favorite way to pay. Subscribe, leave do not have to worry about it when it is time to pay. This feature is a must no matter the situation Network Solutions have it, Godaddy has it 1 and 1 has it and crap loads of others has it why not us it is only fair I think (ecpecially when you have 3 to 500 subscribers just makes our job easier on the over time paychecks . It is there for credit card API's why not PayPals. Solution ad it in, let it cancel when canceled from PayPal. It is headache today, only Matt and his dev team hold the Motrin Ibprofen to cure it.
