Hi,
Heres the situation:
Customer has tried to purchase a hosting package with domain name and used a credit card to pay in paypal. The card hasn't been used with paypal before so it needs to be verified.
From Paypal:
"Your unique, randomly generated 4-digit PayPal code is displayed on your
credit or debit card statement next to or near the PayPal fee. In the item
description section, you will see it next to the word PAYPAL. Allow a few
business days for the PayPal code to appear on your online card statement.
If you do not have online access to your statement, you'll need to wait for
your statement in the mail"
The customer does not have online statements so will have to wait for their statement to be mailed to them.
When the customer eventually enters this 4 digit code, it will be way past the payment due date for their order, so will this transaction be simply considered unpaid and overdue, and thus a paypal subscription will not be setup because it is past the due date? Or will paypal consider this pending but not yet accepted and set up the subscription based on the date the customer initially tried to pay with their credit card?
When the customer enters this code will the payment clear only for the initial invoice and no subscription will be set up for subsequent payments?
Each and every customer who does not have a paypal account will encounter this situation, some will be able to check their online card statement and payment will be cleared before the due date, but some wont.
I know this is Paypal's system and nothing to do with WHMCS, but can anyone answer this or has encountered this problem before?
Thanks.
