problue
Hi, I have my invoices setup to force paypal subscriptions so that the one-time payment button is hidden. My first 2 customers paid their first invoices and they are now due for renewal, the payment was not automatically taken so I logged into my paypal account to check and no subscriptions have actually been created! Why were the subscriptions not setup when the subscribe button would have been the only option available to the customer?? I also noticed that the latest renewal invoices sent out do not have a subscribe button, just a pay now button. Like I say I have force subscriptions turned on so what could be wrong? How do I change these orders to subscriptions if there is no subscribe button on the invoices? Thanks
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted September 18, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted September 18, 2009 Once the due date has passed then the Subscription button won't display. Presumably your clients paid the invoices after the due date?
MikeDVB
Once the due date has passed then the Subscription button won't display. Presumably your clients paid the invoices after the due date? This is true - it's to prevent your users from perpetually paying late I would assume. If they paid on time or early then you may have an issue.
problue
I had assumed the subscription button would have been there on the very first invoice regardless of the due date. Is there any way to set these customers up with subscriptions then? Every invoice they get wont have a subscription button. Can I reset it or something without upsetting anything within WHMCS? What i mean is, is there a way to cancel an order without losing everything associated with that order, and then re-asign it to a new order or something?
MikeDVB
I had assumed the subscription button would have been there on the very first invoice regardless of the due date.If you generate the invoice on the 15th and they set up a subscription on the 20th... Then they will pay 5 days late (sometimes 6 days) every time a payment comes due which could cause problems. Is there any way to set these customers up with subscriptions then? Every invoice they get wont have a subscription button. Can I reset it or something without upsetting anything within WHMCS?You can't set up a subscription - only the client can... The only way to have them set one up now is to have them pay *ON* or *BEFORE* the due date and then to select "PayPal Subscription" instead of just "PayPal". What i mean is, is there a way to cancel an order without losing everything associated with that order, and then re-asign it to a new order or something?I don't know what good that would do - if the person pays on or before the due date they should either be automatically set up on a subscription or given the option (I cannot remember if it's forced on a 2nd+ invoice).
problue
Thanks Mike, I have my invoices set to go out 7 days before the due date, so if my clients pay the current invoice manually, the next invoice will have a subscribe button if they view it before the due date?
MikeDVB
Thanks Mike, I have my invoices set to go out 7 days before the due date, so if my clients pay the current invoice manually, the next invoice will have a subscribe button if they view it before the due date? It should give the subscribe button as long as they aren't late.
