bambii7
Hey all, just getting whmcs configured to the point where I can start invoicing. It's awesome. Just wondering if any one knows of an existing addon that allows input of an hourly rate and hours. I'd be interested in making one if there's not one currently. It'd save me a bit of time calculating the hours and cost before entering the price. I did search a few times on this forum but no results were found.
DataHosts
You create a product with the hourly rate. No need for an addon. The point of a quote is not something that should be ordered by the client.

I don't think that will work because you can't order multiple quantities of a product yet. The best bet would be to just use Billable Items.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted August 12, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted August 12, 2009 You can use the quantity configurable option to do that.
ckh
I like to use the quote feature for this. You can enter quantity, description, and unit price for different items. As you add items, it calculates the total. Once completed, I'll just convert it to an invoice and then the description will include the quantiy, description, unit price such as: 4.47 x General Site Construction @ 50.00 and then the total will be displayed on that line. Works well for me. I often work on projects that have different items and extend over a period of time. By creating the quote, I can update the quote as I go by editing existing items or add to it. When done, just convert to an invoice and send to the client. You don't have to send a quote to the client and just use it internally.
windwaterwaves
Where is the elusive quantity configurable option?
ukontrol
I don't think there is a selectable option... When you are drafting a quote, you can enter the Qty. on the left under where it says, "Line Items."
