Free domains and prorata billing

Hi guys,

Wondering how are you working around the free domains that are free every period when the client contract a yearly hosting service with the prorata billing on the 1st?

If they signup on the...lets say 10th of the month and the next hosting due date will be the 1st but the domain renewal date for free will be on 10th?

Thanx in advance!

Having a problem with a similar issue.

When a yearly package is ordered and renewal comes up the following year, the domain must be listed under Domains and Package under Products/Services.

The recurring amount for the domain name can not be $0 or I have seen it automatically renew the domain before receiving payment when the invoice is generated.

When the domain becomes due the following year, how does the "Free domain" in yearly plan credit get automatically applied to the invoice?

I assume the domain should be set with a recurring amount of the normal recurring amount due for domain renewals, and the hosting package should be set to the total for the hosting package.

Does WHMCS automatically then apply a credit on the yearly renewal?

Will WHMCS automatically renew the domain for a year once the invoice for the hosting service/package is paid?

Am I understanding this correctly or can someone give us a better overview?
