cyberneticos
I have a better idea. Let's wait to see what happens with Lxlabs (for those who can wait, of course)
markb1439
Mmm, at this point I would be hesitant to trust a product from Lxlabs. It's a tragedy what happened, however many people feel that the code has serious flaws in general. I'd feel more comfortable going with something else that is (hopefully) more robust and better engineered.
markb1439
One thought...maybe a front runner for a new WHMCS module should be VDSmanager, since another billing package already supports it. They wouldn't have implemented it unless there was sufficient demand, and I've seen quite a few people on WHT switching over to it. I'll probably do it too. It would be great to be able to automate it without switching billing packages...I much prefer WHMCS.
JFSG
There are already many developers on WHT developing a HyperVM alternative. Some includes SolusVM, Voxtro VM, which looks promising. However, I do have my doubts on Voxtro as the developing company is also a hosting provider itself...

agnivo007
Sorry for dragging this, but I find this one looks quite promising: http://vzwave.com/showthread.php?t=1
cyberneticos
Out of all of the one's I seen, read up on, looked at company history, so far, VDSmanager seems like the closest solution we're looking for and also the company that has been in it the longest apparently. Anyone here use VDSManager ?
markb1439
We tested VDSmanager extensively almost a year ago, and I found it to be exceptional. The only thing that kept us from using it was the cost...many times more than HyperVM (with a comparable feature set). I asked ISPsystems if they could offer more flexible pricing, but they basically said, "Put a bunch of VPSs on your server and the cost per VPS won't be that bad." But I believe in multiple smaller servers as opposed to fewer big servers...so that strategy doesn't work for me. But I digress...to answer your question, I've given VDSmanager a good workout on CentOS 5.x, and the only issues were: Various little quirks and typos in the documentation and interface No reliable Xen support yet (but that's supposedly right around the corner) Support was always very responsive. markb1439
So, now that some of the HyperVM dust has settled...what have people migrated to?
Exoware
We're still weighing up our options, but are strongly considering Cloudmin.
[JSH]John
vePortal have a WHMCS module.
RikeMedia
We're making our own - almost ready for use (we're not releasing it publicly/selling it, its in-house only). We'll probably also be moving the support desk into the new system as it would allow much tighter integration with the individual control panel areas. Not 100% sure what we're doing billing wise yet. Our plan is to stay with WHMCS for now, however we'll have to see if it would be worth looking into our own custom solution. I do like WHMCS but having control over your own code is a weight off the mind
cyberneticos
Hello folks, HyperVM will continue under an Open Source license. I would like to know if WHMCS will continue updating the HyperVM module.
SilverNodashi
OpenQRM (free) & FluidVM (from $25 pm) are both very good replacements for HyperVM and offer much more than Virtuzzo and others alike. Matt, please consider these as well.
MACscr
OpenQRM (free) & FluidVM (from $25 pm) are both very good replacements for HyperVM and offer much more than Virtuzzo and others alike. Matt, please consider these as well. FluidVM is already supported: http://wiki.fluidvm.com/index.php?title=WHMCS_Setup
cyberneticos
But internationalization isn't. And that's the only thing keeping me from using it.
MACscr
But internationalization isn't. And that's the only thing keeping me from using it. Huh? What does a provisioning module have to do with multi language?
cyberneticos
Maybe I'm getting the wrong idea about FluidVM. Doesn't this software provide our customers with a control panel, just like HyperVM does ? (where they can gain console access, stop, start, reboot, see resource graphs, etc.. ??)
shuveb
It does provide a user control panel and a lot more. See here for more details: http://fluidvm.com/fluidvm.html Regards,
Starteck2002
Just incase people don't know, a WHMCS module has been released for SolusVM: http://wiki.solusvm.com/index.php/WHMCS_Module

Starteck2002
who copied who on the logo ? (FluidVM,SolusVM) Hmmm - let me see, is there a similarity? Well i would say they are quite different....
cyberneticos
Hmmm let me see, these are quite different too. DOH !
Starteck2002
Your post is pointless - it's obvious that SolusVM or FluidVM have not copied each other.
