0wnage
Anybody think the 4.0 new templates for both the client and admin are uglier/ sloppier/ and or more messy?
chickendippers
They changed the colours a bit. I think it looks smarter especially on the client side. Certainly no one criticised it all the way through the beta period I have changed the admin layout back to original though because the Setup menu in the V4 skin annoys me and my monitor won't go above 1280*1024.
host-monkey
Will we have to change anything from the old templates? That's where I'm becoming curious...
RyanH
No, love the new templates here! Anyway you can still use the old ones if you personally prefer those.

You can adjust the height of the menu's in the css so that the menu won't jump up above the button
keliix06
We'll be using the new layout on the frontend, not sure if it's really any better than v3, but both are nice and clean. I really like the new admin backend.

chickendippers
yikes... is it from 1999 or something?? 2008 actually. I happen to prefer not squinting at tiny text. Thanks for the tip sparky, I'll look into that. Edited May 7, 2009 by chickendippers Toned message down
isdoo
I have yet to discover what has changed on the client side LOL (apart from currency obviously) Admin side looks great though.
redrat
You need to select the Web2.0 cart to see the client side ordering system changes and the Portal theme for the main interface changes.
Gears
I don't think the new backend interface is that nice looking. Granted, there's new functionality, but the design could definitely have been better in my opinion (no offense to Matt or the designer). I actually think the v3 backend interface is nicer looking. To continue, this new backend interface uses a mixture of both rounded corners and boxes, which can be difficult to make work. In this case I'm not sure it does. Also, aside from the header I don't really see too much contrast. For example, the Clients Profile page is very dismal. But it's alright, we can just modify the backend template to our liking now anyway. Just wanted to share a few of my opinions on the new default admin template. Great job on the new release.
