JFSG
I have no idea why, but this has been happening to me all day at this WHMCS forum.... I have no problems with other forums or sites, only WHMCS....
bear
When you log in, do you have "remember me" checked?
JFSG
I always do.
XN-Matt
Are you using anything like Mozilla Weave? (If using Firefox)
zigzam
Same here. Using firefox.
XN-Matt
Are you using Weave or anything else that syncs your browser to another computer so that your history/bookmarks/cookies are the same? I have this problem now and again - but that is due to Weave.
JFSG
FireFox user here.
bear
There isn't anything in the settings that could cause this, so there are a few possibilities. Logins are stored in cookies. Are you using anything that removes cookies automatically? Are you using anything that blocks cookies in any way? Are you allowing them on this site? Have you tried without any addons or plugins enabled using FF? Can you try with a different browser entirely to eliminate FF as the cause?
sparky
I now get the same thing on both IE and FireFox. I believe there was a VB upgrade recently, maybe there was a change in the code.
bear
We haven't done any recent upgrades that I'm aware of. I'm using Seamonkey currently and it hasn't happened yet. Let me try FF for a bit.
bear
Using FF. Logged in with "remember me", left, closed FF, no problem on return. Went to view a post on WHT using FF, and had to log in...though I'd been working on there a few minutes prior and viewing threads while logged in with FF. Weird FF issue? They aren't using the same version of VB there.
zigzam
I am on several other VB forums with no log out issues. I dont have any addons installed on firefox besides the google toolbar. Only forum that logs me out is whmcs.
bear
Just came to look at this post using FF still, and I'm logged in fine. Will keep trying to duplicate this through the day.
DataHosts
No problem here...been logged on for 6 days straight with no issues. FF 3.0.6
sparky
I'm getting sick of having to log on all the time!!
bear
First time back since the 16th using Firefox, and I was still logged in. I can't reproduce the issue, which probably means it's local to your computer/browser.
DataHosts
Yes...FF seems to be fine for me. I use FF 95% of the time, and having no issue. IE seems to be fine as well when I do use it.
Blazr
This happens to me all the time with every vBulletin and PHPBB forum. Firefox here, running Linux.
othellotech
Its started happening to me (only noticed i wasnt logged in when the new posts only showed 3 things !) I *suspect* a windoze update or f/fox update has busted some default handling of the cookie ... although it's only doing it to whmcs not some of the other forums I abuse people on ...
HostOrca
Just to confuse the issue:lol: It's been happening to me as well, about 10 times this week I've come to this forum, it shows me as logged in, but as soon as I select new posts, the login panel in the top right of the forum appears and I have to then login. This is only happening on safari on my iPhone.
JFSG
I got this again~
HostOrca
Just noticed something. When I click on my bookmark to come to this forum (in safari on my iPhone), it goes to forums.whmcs.com, then redirects to forum.whmcs.com. Have they changed the address recently?, and could this explain it?
JFSG
I'm totally pissed off with this... I'm getting auto-logged out all day!
bear
"02-20-09, 10:58 AM" was the last time I even visited with FF (like I am now), and I'm still logged in. I can't duplicate your issue, so it's unlikely the forum's fault. Has to be your browser or settings.
sparky
Well that means that my browser or settings are wrong too then... Just went to webhostingtalk.com.au for the first time in a while. Last Visit: 25-02-2009 08:39 PM Still logged in and working fine.
