sgrayban
I think that was directed at me, just to not confuse the other poster as I don't want this to get out of control. Points taken, I think we all understand your position and the warning others should take when using software. Gustave Thank you.
MACscr
n2972s, just wanted to thank you for your software that doesnt phone home. Works great! Its pretty easy for us to monitor network traffic in/out of our servers. Doesnt matter if the software is encrypted or not when it comes to that. Even if Matt took a look at the unencrypted code, I dont think it would be smart for him to get behind any third party code and put his name behind hit. Hope that makes sense. BTW, whmcs is encrypted too and no third party has verified its code. Gustave is putting his nane and company name behind the work. He isnt simply some stranger from a third world country with no way to track him down or his legitimacy. Gustave is being nice enough to provide us this great free addon right now and he has never claimed it to be open source and we need to respect his right to do that. If you dont like his terms, then dont use his software. But by all means, dont make demands for something your havent paid for and even if you had, its never been advertised to come with the source. Case closed. Edited May 18, 2009 by MACscr
Roger
Everything that MACscr said plus - sgrayban if you weren't a novice you would know you could monitor your server traffic. You would do it before you started bashing n2972s for encrypting his code. And if you had found any evil doing you would have presented the evidence. By the way sgrayban. That would be the messages.log file. Oh... that would be in the /var/log directory. n2972s, thanks for the contribution.

Interesting to see the tone of other posts by sgrayban as well - there are many where he is confrontational. Obviously gets out of the wrong side of bed on a regular basis ! This is a great piece of software and plenty of people have been using it for a long time, so as Gustave has said on (too) many occasions (because people dont bother to read the previous history of the thread) - take it or leave it it is entirely your loss.
dagdatech
Gustave, I second and third those thanks... please know that most of us appreciate your hard efforts. Regarding transfertracking.php... im not seeing any error messages. And when i manually hit "update", it does indeed update correctly. Its a bit of a mystery.

dagdatech
sorry, an update to my last post, i clicked "update" this time and it is telling me : "You do not have any pending transfers in WHMCS." However, when going to "transfer" I get the following report: Transfer Order ID Order Date Status 36250187 2009-05-13T06:40:58.167 Processing 36133481 2009-04-06T05:43:02.660 Order complete 36103658 2009-03-27T08:17:59.433 Order complete 35995604 2009-02-26T05:40:31.310 Order complete 35356439 2008-08-14T10:37:15.767 Order complete The "processing" one above is the one in the middle of the transfer and, when clicked, yields the following: Transfer Detail Transfer ID 36250187 Order Date 5/13/2009 6:40:58 AM High Level Status Processing Transfer Cost $xxx Domain xxxxxxxx.com Detail Status Domain transfer initiated and awaiting approval It appears there's a disconnect between my WHMCS and enom extended (just to clarify, I submitted the transfer request through WHMCS).
HostBizLng
Gustave, Do you have a development tracker page for eNom Extended (with reported issues and discussed resolutions)? It sounds like very neat module, but while it being tested and debugged this forum thread got very big, full of unrelated to testing and debugging of this module posts, and it makes me (not sure about others) confused at times, as sometimes I try to follow some issue and see if there's a resolution been discussed, I have to go through all the unrelated posts. Sincerely, Serg
merlinpa1969
In response to sgrayban, I habe o involvement in the development of this code, I took offense to the fact that you opened your mouth and said that we are all newbs.... I for one dont take anythng at face value... we have a testing setup with all dummy information, and we monitor the logs to make sure that there are no issues... so remmeber that you are not all knowing or all seeing, your right you dont know me from adam so I would suggest not jumping on someone that quick
