othellotech
sounds like your cron is timing out - so fixes would be - better connectivity from the WHMCS server to the server(s) with the clients on - change the php ini file - set an exception for yoru cron in any automated "killer" processes - put less people on each box
aegisdesign
Same problem here. The cron task was working fine without missing a beat for the past year until I upgraded to v3.8.1. Now it seems to hang and I've not got emails for the past few days. I've now switched off 'Update Usage Statistics' and it's working again. Did something change in this ?
bubbasheeko
I am not sure if I am having the same issue or not. My cron sends an email every once and a while. Received one yesterday, but not today. My daily backup of the database ran, but not the cron task for updating stats. I don not see any errors in my access logs in regards to the crons.
Gears
Having issues here as well. Cron worked fine until I updated to 3.8. The cronjob does seem to run because invoices are generated, but I do not get the email every morning anymore. I downloaded a new cpanel module and will wait until next cron run to see if that fixes it. Supposedly it should. I also have another issue where the databases are not being transferred to a remote FTP anymore. The last successful delivery was on November 16. It just stopped all of a sudden.

bubbasheeko
Hi Zoilodiaz, For what ever reason the cron is taking longer to complete. Placing these in your .htaccess file (if a shared server) will fix this issue. If this is a dedicated server, edit the values in php.ini. max_execution_time 400 php_value memory_limit 64M I have ran my cron job 6 times and 6 times I have received my daily activity report and all appears well.

bubbasheeko
I am not sure then, anybody else have any suggestions for zoilodiaz? I would recommend not setting your memory and time out so high. Your host may not like you for it. Reduce it to 64M and 400, or just remove the lines I provided you.

LeMarque
Resolved for me too with a replacement cpanel.php file. Many thanks. I ran/forced 'Upgrade to latest version' in WHM and Voila!. I think this should be made a sticky somewhere for all the others that are having this issue.

LeMarque
hmmm... did you select 'Force a reinstall even if the system is update to date'? If so, then I'm not sure what to suggest 'cause that seemed to fix it for me
