pinoguin
Hey I posted a thread in the bugs section but I guess it's not a bug. I have just upgraded to 3.6.2 last weekend and ever since then my invoices when paid up by my clients thru paypal it never gets marked as 'paid' but remains in the summary as 'unpaid'. I had to manually add payment which can get tiresome with multiple invoices. Can anyone please help out here? I tried looking for options in the configurations but found none.
pinoguin
Anybody? Can anyone at least confirm this? or tell me if it's working alright in your side?
othellotech
it sounds like your callback is failing - check you have the right files in the right places, look at the gateway log, examine your firewall rules and test it HTH
MikeDVB
I went to PayPal and removed the CallBack setting (that older versions of WHMCS said to set) and this resolved this problem for me. Your mileage may vary.
pinoguin
My gateway logs stopped after the upgrade I already contacted my host to disable mod_sec Where can I see this callback setting in paypal? I've looked everywhere (it's strange that I don't get emailed when someone posts here, subscription is on)
pinoguin
my host just messaged me back: The issue is not with the paypal setup of the server. Please check : [root@element ~]# grep paypal.php /usr/local/apache/domlogs/pinoguin.com 66.211.170.66 - - [23/Sep/2008:03:32:37 -0500] "POST /clients/modules/gateways/callback/paypal.php HTTP/1.0" 404 301 "-" "-" Paypal is posting just fine to the server but your folder permissions are causing 500 errors on the script. pinoguin
Yes, it's already done by my host. I'll test it again once a client pays by paypal
pinoguin
Ok, confirmed. The issue is now fixed. Paypal works again. What happened was after the upgrade, the new files that have overwritten the paypal php file changed it's permissions somehow.
