bear
Not very informative, is it? When asking for help in this section, we know you need help. Posting only "help" as a subject means members need to open the thread to see what it is you need help with. Help us to help you by posting a bit about the problem in the subject. Make it meaningful and help will arrive sooner, most likely. "Help with Paypal" "I need help with invoicing" ...and so on...
chickendippers
Agreed. Something to be added to the FAQ/Rules methinks.

tqhosting
if this is the case then how come this message got 700 views already and mine has 1 with a legitimate subject header?
bear
if this is the case then how come this message got 700 views already and mine has 1 with a legitimate subject header? You started three threads, of those, 2 you answered yourself almost immediately (both from today), and the other back in January someone answered a few days later. Already? This thread was posted 08-22-08, 08:14 AM That might explain it.
interneers
You know those scenes in the movies where the hero comes bursting in eager to help.. and the 'victim' is watching tv or making out with a hotty.. thx, I think this is proving a thread title like this one gets more attention. lloydcodrington
I can not see why anyone on a help forum would want to waste the limited space in the title field using the word help anyway. Goes without say that any post is a request for help so why not give a fuller discription in the title to assist reader further in their initial assessment of the help needed. Also therefore, I am not sure if it is possible but could that word or any other word or combination, that may prove equally frustrating to forum admins in the future, be used to alert the user to enter a proper title name. Just a thought. Lloyd

arumdev
Good thread (sorry I know it's old but here it is).... if this was my forum, any threads started with non-descript titles along the lines of 'please help' would be deleted instantly.
bear
We're looking to educate and assist here, not punish. A bad title get the user less help, and loads of scorn. Teach someone to use meaningful titles, however, and everybody wins.
